It is official. Soon I will have a small loan and my own business. Working from home and online at www.practicalcorsets.co.uk
And I am terrified! I have had so much positive word of mouth, but not one person has ever emailed me from my website, and I have only made clothing for friends and family. I need to increase my portfolio and get some advertising behind me.
Plan A is to borrow money from the Princes Trust in Scotland so I can tap in to their wealth of information and assistance for advertising and marketing.
Plan B is to do the above and ask friends for help to make this work, ideas advice and technical input.
Plan C is to do all of the above and register as a business on Ebay - get an ebay store and hope that boosts my profile and gives buyers a little more confidence.
These don't really sound like separate plans to me really, just stages.
One day, I can look back on all this and laugh.
One day.
