I'm still here

Wow! Long time, no blog. Most of you will have probably stopped checking by now. Still since Mid Summer has passed and now I'm heading full steam into the good half of the year it's time for a catch up.

I married Adam on the 19th January this year. We had a wonderful day - the weather was beautiful. Cold, crisp and dry. Everyone worked so hard to make the church and the hotel beautiful and I will be forever glad that they did. Thank you to everyone who made it up North to share the day with me.

I'm still at work for Debs. It's still annoyingly corporate. I have more of an insight now into the nuances of the Management team - so fewer and fewer things come as a surprise to me. It pays and is still really good fun most of the time.

Since the wedding I have picked up some sort of perpetual stomach condition. It's not serious and a PPI seems to keep it under control. My excellent GP is very patient about it - and we are both sure it's more a psyco-physiological thing (stress, frustration... that sort of stuff.) I'm taking a little more Doctor prescribed relaxation time and that seems to help. I'm entering month 5 of tablet taking and I'm hoping to be off them in the next month or so after that.

Amy-Clare Designs has been steady. Several orders on the go and a few more pending. I don't have as much spare time to devote to it as I'd like so i'm not pressing for new business. Once the garden, and the house are a little straighter I'll have more energy for it. And that will be great.

The garden is looking fab! Adam whipped out the hedge in May and put in a fence. We dug over and seeded a lawn about a week ago so soon that will be coming through. I'm down to my last row of raddishes and the next thinning of carrots will be large enough for eating. The lettuces have been a bit hit and miss this year, but the courgettes and parsnips are doing wonderfully. Check out the WebAlbum of garden progress of piccies (I have been making time to update that!)

I have a shiny new kitchen since the wedding and come the winter months I'll get a chance to finish the decorating - some wallpaper stripping and painting to do.

All in all, I've had an odd few months but now the Holly King is back I have a little more faith in the future, so I'm heading that way with gusto!

Edit:
I'm waiting for my real life to begin. On a clear day, I can see a really long way. (Colin Hay, Going Somewhere)
