new things I'm allowed to do.

This week I recieved my certificate of First Aid Competence. Mostly this means I'm covered by company insurance to give First Aid to people on company time. As long as I fill in the correct paperwork. And don't do anything to stupid.

I do have a shiny green card, and in theory I can give First Aid to random people in the street if I want. I wouldn't be covered by anyone's insurance if I did though.

On the plus side, no-one has successfully sued a First Aider to date. Which is not as comforting as it should be.

I blame the Americans. And the Germans for good measure.

So, when you say random people in the street, would you wait for them to have something wrong with them, or just give them first aid regardless? :)

Hmm, interesting. It would be frowed upon to cause them harm in order to First Aid at them, however applying FA to someone at random would probably just be wierd - rather than wrong.
